Amanda Bastien
I’m Deiontae Nicholas — husband, brother, entrepreneur, and big believer in turning vision into reality. I started FocusUp with my great friend and business partner, Amanda, because we wanted to create something bigger than ourselves. We saw the power in sharing real stories and building spaces where people can grow, connect, and support each other.
For me, it all comes back to faith, family, and impact. I love my wife, I love competing (especially on the golf course), and I’m always chasing ways to get better — personally and professionally. FocusUp is just one piece of that journey, and the mission is simple: to redefine success through the art of storytelling.

Our vision is to redefine success by sharing stories of achievement that inspire and empower individuals to focus on their passions and purpose. We believe that success should be measured by personal fulfillment, rather than a narrow definition based on financial gain. By breaking the stigma that money equals success, we aim to create a world where everyone can pursue their dreams without fear of judgment or limitations.

Being persistent pays off in the long run all of the time. It is important to keep trying even when faced with obstacles or challenges. With persistence, we are able to overcome setbacks and continue moving forward towards our goals. Remember, success is not achieved overnight, but rather through consistent effort over time.

Having a positive mental attitude is critical to achieving success in any field. When faced with obstacles or setbacks, it can be easy to become discouraged and lose motivation. However, by maintaining an optimistic outlook and focusing on the possibilities rather than the limitations, we can stay motivated and keep pushing forward towards our goals.
